Head Control

Where the head goes, the body follows.  I recall hearing that comment many years ago, during a self-defense class.  Grabbing the hair of the attacker and pulling it down toward the ground, allows you to control the attacker.  Considering the average adult head is about 8% of their body weight, the head can be a good handle for control.  As per normal, I have another spin on this subject.

Where your thoughts go, the rest of you will follow.  If you focus on thinking about how someone did you wrong or a negative situation, you stay in a state of bitterness.  If you focus on being thankful for each breath and step you take, you stay in a state of calm and happiness.  With roughly 60,000 distinct thoughts a day, one can see how easy it is for the monkey mind to be bouncing all over the place.  Staying angry takes effort, and staying happy takes effort.  The difference is where you put the focus.  Direct your head to the happy side.  You’ll be glad you did.
