Navigating the Nonsense

Some companies and people seem to go out of their way to make things complicated.  You call the “Customer Prevention” department of any company and end up in automated attendant circular hell.  You go to buy a new vehicle and the salesman must go to the sales manager, who must go to the general manager, who must go to the Grand Poobah to kiss the ring to get a deal done.  Geeze, getting things done nowadays can be like dribbling a basketball through a minefield.

I think I’m more sensitive to navigating the nonsense than most, as I work daily on simplifying my life.  I don’t care or choose to devote time to the nonsense.  Every minute spent dealing with the silliness is a minute I could be doing something I enjoy.  Remember, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line.  Rather than going around the block to get next door, work on simplifying the trip.  Work on limiting your time navigating the nonsense, and spend more time enjoying the adventure called life.
