I heard the term unlearn used, and it caught my attention, as one of my three daily action items is to learn at least one new thing. Unlearn is a transitive verb which means, to change the way that you have learned to think or do things, usually because that way is not good or useful. If I understand it correctly, unlearning is the act of identifying certain things in life that really are detrimental and serve no positive purpose, then changing them. Well duh! Isn’t that the definition of learning? There that little C-word is again, change. The only constant in life is change. Calling it unlearning or learning is not as important as the act of executing change. Let’s go see what I can unlearn, learn, or change today.
