Nice to Know

We all have the fundamental need and desire to be wanted, and we all have some inherent level of insecurity that drives the need to be wanted, accepted, and validated.  One way to fulfill that need is with appreciation.  It can be as simple as saying, I really appreciate you.  You can build on it from there: I appreciate you spending time talking with me, or thank you, I appreciate you helping me around the house, or I appreciate you being in my life.  I collectively refer to it as the gratitude lifestyle.  It is the process of being thankful and appreciative of everything in life. 

Unsolicited appreciation is one of the greatest gifts we can give to one another.  It costs absolutely nothing, but is priceless to the receiver.  It’s also a pretty dang good feeling seeing the reaction.  Make a difference in someone’s life today.  Let them know you appreciate them.
