The D word, detour, can take you to the spin zone in a matter of seconds. It’s at the point that I check Transtar traffic prior to going anywhere. Heck, within a mile radius of my house, there are detours for everything from apartment construction to road repair. Believe it or not, there can be an upside to detours, as they can send you down a new path of travel. I’ve lived in the same neighborhood for 23 years, and I still can find new paths and new experiences.
If you get out today and see a detour sign, try thinking about it as a new experience rather than getting all wiggy about it. Detours can be a good thing.
