Flexibly Opportunistic

I regularly use the phrase flexibly opportunistic in conversation.  To me, being flexibly opportunistic means having the ability to shift and adapt, to take advantage of opportunities as they come up.  Sure, there are times we need to be a hard ass and stand our ground, and there are also times we need to open our mind enough to listen to the possibilities then make an informed decision.  

I have many discussions regarding the it’s black or white stance.   I used to be one of those thinkers until I learned it is not always black or white.  Actually, there is more gray in life than anything else.   And within that gray, there are varying shades, which lead to endless opportunities.   Things regularly change in life, but how we choose to how to work with the change is up to us.   We get to decide what is black, what is white, and what is gray.  Become flexibly opportunistic, and learn to live in the gray.  It’s a nice place.
