Living on the edge refers to everything from someone considered an adrenaline
junkie to the name of an Aerosmith song. To me, it means striving to get the most you
possibly can out of life within reasonable boundaries. I heard about all the potential dangers the
first time I told people I would be jumping out of a plane, and yes, there is a
fair amount of risk associated with sky diving. There are also risks associated with riding my
Harley, driving the truck, going to the gun range, working out, or even the
possibility of falling down the stairs at my house. Do you see where I’m going this one? At any given time, plenty of things can be
considered living on the edge; however, we have the choice of rolling up in the
fetal position and hiding, or we can put it out there, take some calculated
risks, and live a fun life. What I
really like about the edge, is that I get to define it. So, what does your edge look like? Are you living on it?
