Degrees of Separation

Cooperative behavior is the term I ran across while reading an article on random acts of kindness and paying it forward. The results of the study validate there is indeed a return on investment with random acts of kindness and paying it forward. The team conducting the study found the payoff normally happens within three degrees of separation where the initial act of kindness by one person impacts three others. Each of the three in turn impact three others for a total of nine people, and the effect continues. With all the variables in life, the team validated there is no real way of knowing or measuring how far out an initial act of kindness can reach in the real world. I choose to belief the random acts continue.

The term we typically hear is, going viral. A video, song, or whatever will spread across the internet as fast as someone forwarding a link or message. The social science proves kindness is contagious. Let’s go viral today, and watch the kindness spread.
