There are certain overused phrases that literally make me laugh a lot. To be honest, and goes without saying are the two at the top of my list. No, I want you to lie to me. Just be honest rather than trying to spin the subject. Well, if it goes without saying, then don’t say it.
It seems in today’s world; people are more concerned about saying something wrong rather than allowing the receiver to process the message on their own. I read this one 16 years ago, and it still sticks with me today: The real definition of Lying - when you leave someone with a perception other than the truth. This is how that definition speaks to me: When you are genuine with your words and speaking honestly, the right words come to you. Communication is so easy when you allow it to happen.
