Do They Really Exist?

I want a do-over, I want a second chance, or give me another chance.  Those statements have always left me a little conflicted.  They all mean I want another opportunity on any given subject.  We cannot change the past and do not know the future which leaves us with what is happening at this very second or living in the moment.  Even if you get another opportunity at whatever, the second attempt is different from the first one.  How could it be the same?  Time does not repeat.

Situations and events occur the way they should and at the time, they should.  If a relationship ends, then you attempt to reengage later, would you consider it a second chance or new opportunity?  I would call it a new opportunity as both of you would be in different places and have new experiences since the original relationship.  Do you really get a second chance at a job or a new opportunity?

We all make mistakes in life.  The key to mistakes is what you learn from them and how you recover.  If you grow from the experience and take away new knowledge, I contend you will not need a do-over or second chance.  So, I pose the question, do the do-overs really exist?
