Mine Not Yours

Choice is one of my favorite subjects to discuss.  For me, making choices means I am actively involved in my life rather than plodding along waiting to see what happens.  The choices I make may not always be popular, but as I tell people, they are mine not yours.  Then there are those who attempt to force us to choose what they want rather than what is right for us.  Again, our choice not theirs.

Like everyone, I’ve made choices based on the emotion of situations or in attempts to please others and found the choices were wrong.  I felt the discomfort of the choice internally, but I did it anyway.  The irony of making choices is they set up a situation for making another and another and another.  We choose our mates, career, what to eat, and choose how to react/respond to the daily challenges of life.  I view choice as a never-ending event.  Own your choices, and watch how things change around you.
