Today’s title is compliments of Lauren. She posted a deal on Facebook last night about not being able to see her toes anymore when she looks down. Ms. Lauren is pregnant and is due at the end of June. I was still laughing about it this morning when I woke up. As I began thinking more on Lauren’s words, I saw a powerful message in “I Can’t See My Toes.”
Rather than see her toes right now, Lauren looks down and sees her baby. The task of looking down is no different than it ever has been but, the view and focus is totally different now. She still knows her toes are there and will see them again after the baby is born, but for now, the view is different.
As our lives change, new opportunities are presented to see things differently. We can try to control the changes and force ourselves to see things the way we always have, or we can look to see what is different this time. There is some little difference happening in your life each day. Luckily for us, we do not live in a “Groundhog Day” type of world.
So is it I can’t see my toes, or I can see my baby? Look around at all the wonder that makes up your life. Heck, I’m sitting on a boat in the Gulf of Mexico still sweating from my workout, drinking coffee, and writing about toes. How wonderful is that. I will never have this same opportunity again in my life, and I am so thankful for this one. Thank you Lauren for posting: “I Can’t See My Toes.” You get the “I Inspired Rod Today” Award.
