Bring the Funny
Johnny and I were rolling down to see my friend Bill the other day, and he just started laughing. I asked him what he was laughing about, and he said “I just thought of something funny.” So I asked him to share it, and it was indeed funny. It reminded of the movie Arthur where Duddly Moore is sitting in the back of the limo and just starts belly laughing. His line was “Sometimes I just think funny things.” I use that quote a lot as I too sometimes just think funny things. When I do, I like to share them too. I’ll shoot a text, post it on Facebook, or call someone so they can get a laugh too. I like to Bring the Funny.
Bringing the funny is actually healthy. Laughter reduces stress and tension, exercises the muscles in your neck, face and diaphragm and shifts your thinking. There are times Richard and I get on a roll where we’re crying, snortin, and ending up with sore stomach muscles from laughing so hard. We work at bringing the funny.
One of the best examples recently was when my friend Sandra posted on Facebook that her face was still hurting from laughing so much after a night of being out with the Guys from San Antonio. That is how it should be folks. Ya gotta laugh to stay healthy. Do you part to make the world a healthier place through laughter. Look for opportunities today to Bring the Funny.
