A Little Here & There

Tweaks

I had a conversation with a friend, Dennis, last night about the weight he has lost. He has dropped a total of 40 pounds. He did not have gastric bypass surgery or take any diet pills. He did it the old fashion way: “Move more…eat less…” He made a few adjustments in his life. He eats healthy meals from My Fit Foods (me too and I highly recommend them) rather than pizza and burgers each week. He walks at the park and works out at the gym. Overall, he tweaked a few things in his life rather than making a wholesale change.

The get rock hard abs and lose weight quick industry is huge. The self help industry is the same way. Everyone is looking for the quick fix. There it is again, that pesky impatience monster. We want and want it now. The reality is any changes in your life take work. Trying to change everything at once, only leads to frustration and disappointment. Change is good. Change is healthy. Rather than try to change it all at once, tweak a few things here and there. A little patience leads to some nice results. Here a tweak…there a tweak…everywhere a tweak tweak…
