What's Next?

Turn the Page

Today is another one of those milestone days in my life.  It is my last day at Chevron.  To have the same client as a consultant for 5 ½ consecutive years with no breaks in the work is a rarity.  Rather than choosing to see it as the project ending, I choose to see it as something new beginning.  I have finished the chapter in the book of my life called Chevron and am turning the page for the next chapter.  The neat thing about the next chapter is the page is totally blank.  There is no title, no footnotes, and heck; there is not even a page number.  I get to write it as it happens.

One of the greatest things in life is the ability to choose.  I happen to choose the upbeat and positive side rather than the other side.  I like turning the page to see what’s next rather then turning the page to see the end.  Ponder on that one a little bit.
