Who Will I Be Today?

Cut Loose

We tend to spend a fair amount of time holding up the image/wall for work, being the strong one for the family, or go to person for everyone yet we spend very little time just letting it all loose and just being.  I know there are certain guidelines for acceptable behavior at the workplace, at social gatherings, church, etc. To me, acceptable behavior is pretty much just common sense.  Sometimes it is fine and totally acceptable, in fact I encourage it, to literally hop up on the table and dance.  The best examples I get to experience on cutting loose is watching people at the Renaissance Festival or at a biker rally.  All inhibitions are checked at the entrance and people just escape for a while. There are no lawyers, doctors, police officers, teachers, etc.  There are just people having a good time.  I laugh when I go and comment about wondering which one of my alter egos will make an appearance.

How often do you allow yourself to let down all the curtains and walls and just let go?  Are you more concerned with what people may think than being who you are?  You can have both ya know.  If you cannot recall the last time you cut loose, it has been too long.  If you’re not sure how or where to start, shoot me a note.  I am a pretty darn good “cutting loose” teacher.
