Pick Me...Pick Me

I’ll Take the “O” Word for the Win

“I had to do it…I did not have any other choice…”  On the rare occasion, I watch the news; I shake my head at the criminal talking about how they had to rob the store to get money for food for their kids.  Really, between the Food Bank, relatives, or asking for help, your best option was to rob a store.  That option now leaves you in jail and your kids still hungry.

There are always choices and options, but we may not always be able to see them, or the options presented may not be the ones we want, but they are still options.  I have learned we sometimes do not see our options due to the stress, static, and distortion in our lives.  If I cannot get a clear picture of the options, that is a red flag to step back, cool my jets, and allow the options to come into vision.  With a clear vision, I can make an informed choice.  I can choose one of the options, or I can choose to do nothing.  Even doing nothing is an option.  There is a simple question you can ask that will clear up things in most instances.  What are my options?
