Tell Me One
I have regular conversations about everyone having their own unique story. Over the last three weeks, I’ve seen similar articles online about the same subject. The common thread in all of them is the opportunity to learn from each other. You see someone very wealthy and wonder how they got there. You see someone living on the street and wonder how they got there. Both have a story, and I would guess if you asked them, both would tell you.
Each morning at the coffee shop, I hear a little different story when I talk to Patrick and Doug. I laugh at the banter between Ethan and Bob. There is a 35-year age gap between them yet they are always learning something from each other. We all learn from each other. That’s the way it is supposed to work. Rather than seeing people as strangers, see them as storytellers. Say hi and you may learn something.
Rodney - I've Got A Story For Ya
I like your post. As a young man you feel separate and special from the rest of world, oh what a surprise we have coming to us when we grow up (@55) and realize we are as average as an apple in a bushel basket. We may have a varied crispness but we are still red and an apple. One thing I have found is there are many people who possess talent and ability. We should support and relish the variations not point and critique them. The one thing I look forward to each day is just that- look forward.
