Three "F's"

Pile On

There are days where it seems the pile of “stuff” just continues to grow with no end in sight.  Rather than a shovel to move the crap, sometimes you need a front-end loader.  It all leads up to the not so good O word, overwhelmed.  You know the symptoms.  You can’t sleep, your neck and back are full of knots, you withdraw, and sometimes stop eating.  The pile-on can consume you for a while, but there are options.  You can pick which part of the pile you want to work on rather than the entire thing, or you can walk around the pile.   Replace “Overwhelmed” with “Options” and things take on a little different complexion.

We’re not designed to carry the full load all the time.  That’s where the three F’s come in: Faith, Family, & Friends.  If the load looks too big, reach out, ask for help, and say a little prayer.  You will be amazed what a few well-placed words can do.  Before you know it, the pile becomes a memory.
