Just Different
“It’s hard to see it when you’re in it.” I use that sentence quite often when discussing perspective and viewpoints. We have a tendency to get caught up in situations where we cannot always see the obvious when it is right in front of us. I see it like working on a jigsaw puzzle where you are looking for that one piece and cannot seem to find it. Someone else walks up, looks down, grabs the piece, drops it in, and walks off. You really wanna smack um for being a smartass, but hey, you cannot fault them for seeing something that you couldn’t. It happens that way sometimes.
Our brains filter, auto correct, and sometimes flat out deny the obvious. A new set of eyes can make all the difference in the world, as the new eyes do not have all the associated history around the subject. We all have a hard time or issue with a situation sometimes. It is not a sign of weakness or failure but more a sign that we just can’t see it while we’re in it. Ask for a new set of eyes on the subject. The answer might appear quicker than you think.
