Extreme Grasp of the Obvious

I like to think I have a few more IQ points than most, and with all the stories about stupid things people do, I believe my thoughts are about validated.  Guy walks into a store with a knife to rob it and the owner pulls a gun.  Gun trumps knife.  A guy is hit by a car while attempting to run across the freeway.  That is basic physics.  Car trumps person. Big waves coming in from the hurricane and people are standing on the jetties watching.  Eight people injured.  Guy attempting to steal copper wire is electrocuted and dies. Guess he did not check the breaker before starting his thieving.

Ironically, the media and sometimes families of these geniuses attempt to spin the situation where the person becomes the victim.  Guy attempts to rob store cause he doesn’t have any money and “needs” some to buy food.  Guy hit by car was in a hurry to get home.  The people on the freeway shoulda seen him and swerved out of the way.

I could write for days on the less than bright things people do.  We seem to have a pill or class for everything under the sun EXCEPT, common sense and accountability.  You play chicken with a car, physics will get you every time.  If you’re a thief in Texas, there is a 50/50 chance your target is armed.  Stealing copper wire will get you “dead.”

Can you imagine what things would be like if everyone had common sense and accountability?  Everyone would then have an extreme grasp of the obvious!
