Not This Time

How often have you heard or said, “He/She will change for me?”  We have all tried it at one point or another.  At least I admit it.  The only one that can change anything about me is ME.  The same goes for everyone else out there.  Attempting to change someone with manipulation or some type of emotional force only leads to one thing, resentment. Rather than attempting to change someone for you, help someone change because of you.  I cannot recall where I read this phrase, but I try to live it as best as I can, “Leave someone better off for having known you.”  Lead by example.
