What’s Wrong With This Picture?

The early morning hours sure brings out the strangeness.  This morning alone, I filled up with gas at Kroger then went up to the booth to pay for a case of water.  The girl at the register was so enthralled in whatever was coming across her cell phone that she did not look up for 30 seconds.  Yes, I timed her, and oh by the way, she did not look up until I said something and then acted as if she was in shock. 

Then, I see a woman in ski clothes, pushing a baby stroller across the Durham Bridge at I-10, wearing a Bluetooth headset and picking up aluminum cans on the street.  Then I rode through Montrose to see a drag queen doing the walk of shame with his wig on crooked.  Then I got to experience a menu kicking two drunk girl's asses at the deli this morning.  Odd events, maybe or maybe not, but they sure make for some fine entertainment early in the morning. 

Actually, there is all sorts of silliness happening all around us throughout the day.  It’s that little thing called life.  With a little awareness, there is an unlimited amount of entertainment around us.  Short of visiting with some of the regulars, that is the primary reason I hang out at the coffee shop in the morning. 

Pay just a little attention, and you will be entertained far beyond your imagination.
