Knee-jerk

I am one of the biggest supporters of change as long as change is made for the right reasons rather than a knee-jerk reaction.  Knee-jerk reactions are emotional and immediate reactions to an event or set of words with pretty much no thought.  In our haste, or lack of patience, we sometimes tend to shotgun our approach to change.  I believe the term knee-jerk also applies to enacting change in life.  We can get so caught up in the stress and emotion of a situation that we just want out.  We attempt to change many things without clearly thinking through the ramifications of said changes.  Whether it is a big or small change, everything we do ripples through our lives, the lives of those connected to us, and the universe as a whole.  Rather than giving to the urge to knee-jerk, recognize the feeling of knee jerking as an indicator to stand down and think.

Change your world by changing your thinking.
