“You sure touch a lot of people,
Rod.” My friend Patty made that comment
the other night as we were chatting about people we encounter in life. When you open yourself up to receive, you
also open yourself up to give. You
receive some inspiration, advice, knowledge, or goodness from someone and have
the opportunity to give the same. Too
often though, we keep up our force field assuming someone wants to take from
us. I am a huge proponent of healthy
boundaries, but sometimes the line blurs and boundaries become walls or force
fields. Rather than assuming the worst,
try thinking about what can be gained.
We have 100s of encounters each day be it physical, electronic, or
whatever. Each encounter is an
opportunity to touch or be touched.
