Clear the Air

Our bodies are giant sensing machines capable of tracking many things going on around us and in us, but we tend to shut down some of those capabilities and pay more attention to the chatter of daily life.  Think of it like the filters on your air conditioner.  The sole purpose of the AC filter is to remove the crap out of the air in our homes.  Now you can get the 99 cent see through fiberglass filters that trap next to nothing short of a piece of paper, or you can get the $20 HEPPA filter that will trap most anything you can throw at it.  A quick test to see how good a job your filters are doing is to look around and see how much dust is on your furniture on the baseboards.  Heavy dust levels mean either you have not cleaned in a while or your filters are in need of a swap out.

That’s kinda my view of awareness.  If you have, the cheap 99 cent filters on your life, than more crap gets in thus keeping your awareness at minimal levels.  However, if you do the work and employ the $20 filters to remove unhealthy people and situations, you see clearer and breathe a lot easier.  Do the work, clean up the crap around you, and clear the air in your space.  Our awareness is only as good as the filters we have in our lives.
