Wake

When I wrapped up college, my graduation present to me was a boat.  For the boaters in the group, you know you always leave a wake.  On the water, the wake is your mark of where you were at that instant in time.  If you go out early in the morning where there is no one else out, your wake is very small, but as the day goes on and the lake gets crowded, you see a conflict of waves happening.  That’s how life is too.  As the day goes on, more and more traffic gets involved to the point that the water becomes quite choppy.  We end up bouncing around all over the place.

We leave wakes in life too.  When you think you are motoring along heading in some direction, just look behind you.  Whether you are running a blown alcohol motor or a nine hp motor, you are leaving a wake.  Be mindful of what you are leaving in your path.  You never know when you may have to turn around and cross that wake again.
