"I don’t want to nor do I need to know.” – Rod Williams
I use the phrase above a few
times each week. Whether it is a
personal or business situation, there are times I choose not to or want to know
the answers. For those that have known
me a while, that is a big departure for me.
At a point in time, I felt I had to have the answers or solve all the problems.
Now, I am more selective about wanting or needing to know things. I have learned over the years that there are
just times the answers are not needed, as they add no value, would suck me into
a stinko situation, or would have a less than positive impact on my life. Is anything added to my life by knowing who is
stepping out on whom or the latest office politics, absolutely not? Rather than get sucked into it, I just stop
it, “I don’t want to know nor do I need to know.” Learn it, use it, and watch how much nonsense
disappears from your life.
