Who Can I Yell At?

Our food comes out wrong and we yell at the waiter.  The cleaner can’t find our clothes and we yell at the counter person attempting to help us.  Yep! We’ve all done it.  We have taken out our frustration on the person that cannot really do anything about the situation.  Now, picture someone yelling at your daughter or son that happens to be the waiter or person helping you at the cleaners.  It takes on a little different complexion when it hits close to home doesn’t it.

No one needs to be yelled at. Yes, things happen that frustrate us, but being rude or demeaning to the other party does not make the situation any better.  Actually, it makes things worse, as we have now sucked someone else into our pissy mood.  When you feel the need to yell or get pissy, hold your tongue, literally if you need to, for a count of five.  Let the frustration pass and then ask the other person how we can resolve the issue.  Seldom to never does yelling ever solicit a positive outcome.  Asking for help rather than demanding help gets so much more done.
