Two of the most potentially
controversial subjects out there are politics and religion. Some people
are deeply passionate about their positions on each. Politics and
religion can bring people together and can generate a hostile and divisive
environment. I’ve personally seen people get so spun up that you could
see the vein in the side of their head about to burst. Does someone’s
opinion or position on politics or religion really matter that much in the
grand scheme? Does it change who they are, as a person?
Something that has always
baffled me is why people can be so passionate about those two subjects yet do
not share the same passion for other areas of life. For this one, I am
actually looking for some input and insight from others, as I just don’t get
it.
Hi Rodney,
ReplyDeleteI read your blog, "Passionate". As far as religion goes, since there is Freedom of Religion, meaning the Govt. cannot intrude into how you worship or choose not to worship, it's very personal and a moot point.
Now POLITICS is s different subject. The Democrat Party is obsolete. It is now the Liberal/Progressive Party. I know Obama is Kenyan born. There are copious amounts of proof, therefore I consider him illegitimate. He grew up with a Muslim father who abandoned him at two years old. His white, secularist mother remarried and had a daughter with her new husband. She dropped Obama off at 10 years old, with his communistic Grandparents. He grew up w/ radical socialistic ideas and was anti-America. He landed in the Ill Senate by default, and was catapulted into the Whitehouse by Chicago politicians. He and Michelle sat in Reverend Wright's Black Liberation Theology church for 20 years listening to Wright spew hate whitey speeches and said America deserved 9-11. ("The chickens came home to roost"), he said. When Obama was on the 08 campaign trail .. he told Joe the Plumber and mentioned several times that we need to redistribute the wealth. He said he wants an even playing field. He is uber anti-Capitalism and has only created a few govt jobs. Unemployment is sky high, with many who stopped looking for work. The Food Stamp Leeches have quadrupled under his so-called leadership. ObamaCare is a huge taxation. Doctors across the country are quitting and taking early retirement. Basically, he's bankrupting this country, which nobody can intellectually refute. So you ask why people are so politically divided? That is why. We are being stripped of our freedoms and the American values by these secularist liberals. Obama even said the Constitution should change with the times. These are all cold hard facts. So do I resent Obama voters? You bet. I loathe the voters that RE-elected Obama. He has given himself Carte Blanche to do whatever he wants. I love this country and am tired of these unpatriotic progressives taking it down. So, to answer your question, that is what the vast political polarization is all about. Take care and be happy ~
