Today’s title is a phrase that
appears often in the Bible. I think of it regularly when I feel myself entering
a spin zone. For me, “hold your peace”
means taking pause before responding, keeping myself out of uncomfortable
situations when I can, and keeping an eye on my daily allotment of good energy.
I know that events and people cannot take my peace, but I can allow events and people
to have my peace by losing patience or getting upset. Yes, I still lose my patience and get upset,
but by remembering the phrase, I am able to move through the event a little
quicker. I cannot control the actions of
others, but I can control how I react. I choose to hold on to my peace.
