We all have things that
challenge us: traffic, waiting in line, delayed flights, someone driving slow
in the fast last or being late. There
are many more, but those are the ones that pop up immediately for me. They and so many other things fall into the
category of inconveniences. You know
what I mean. Those little things that
spin you up or make you cringe only to find out a short time later that there
was a reason for the inconveniences.
Yes, I choose believe that even those annoying inconveniences have a
place and purpose in life.
I see them as part of the
grand plan that is my life. I do not
experience things by accident, and I do not meet people by accident. There have been times in traffic that if I
would have been a few minutes early, I would have been in the accident that had
the freeway blocked. I’ve met people
that I did not see their importance in my life until years later when I ran
into them again and learned some life-changing lesson. I’ve learned there is always takeaway or
lesson from every person I meet, or every event I experience.
The next time you encounter
an inconvenience, take a moment to look for the takeaway and lesson. There’s always one there if you ask, look,
and listen.
