Presto Change Me

Yes, I took some liberties with the title today, but I still think it has the same meaning.  You can call it Three Card Monte, sleight of hand, or redirect, but they all mean the same thing.  These are events that are meant to have you look away and be distracted from the obvious then be mesmerised when you look back to see a perceived change.

Perceived is the operative term, as typically nothing has really changed other than being hustled.  Here is a checkpoint I have learned over the years.  If I feel someone is draining me, they are draining me.  If I feel reluctance about being around certain people, then I need to move on past them.

People will use us, if we let them.  People will lie to us, if we let them.  People will try to redirect and hustle us, if we let them.  Two things are in common on those three sentences, People will, if we let them.  As much of an optimist and positive thinker as I am, I still know there are users in the world.  However, I also know that people do not use me.  Rather, I allow them to use me.   

Presto Change Me.  If anything should change, it is me.  Skip the hustle, fire the users, and be true to yourself.
