Your Assignment

In school, we all received special projects or homework.  At home, they were called chores. As I’ve aged, I’ve learned to see them as assignments or my purpose. There are times my assignments are being the student and learning from someone else, and there are other times where I am the teacher and showing someone a different path or way of thinking.  In both cases though, there is purpose for what I learn or what I teach.  Others refer to their assignment as their calling.  For me, I could care less what the title is and am all about knowing I have an assignment.  I choose to believe the good Lord put me here for a reason.  At this moment, that reason is writing things I hope will help others.

We all have assignments in life, but all too often, we get hung in the nonsense and drama that we sometimes miss our purpose at the moment.  If you feel conflicted or frustrated, find your quiet place and listen.  If drama is your norm, quietly walk away.  Your assignment and purpose is there if you listen.
