Garbage In - Garbage Out

Daily, we are bombarded with useless and less than good nonsense.  Unfortunately, our brains and hearts are big sponges, and take in everything. Between the constantly negative news and daily drama of life, we can reach maximum saturation.  When I get overloaded with whatever, I know it, as two particular physical things that happen to me. First, I get a very tense feeling in my neck and shoulders that literally works its way down my body.  I call it the energy drain.  Second, my head fills with so much static that I cannot generate a complete thought or string words together.  I call this one the lock up.  Both events are physical reactions to what I take in, or should I say, allow to come in.

No matter how hard we try, we cannot escape all the drama and daily trappings of life.  There are too many things beyond our control.  However, we can choose to reduce the amount of garbage in by choosing our inputs like, the people we’re around, the music we listen to, what we read, or even what we watch.  Guard your head and guard your heart.  By limiting the garbage in, you can greatly reduce the garbage out.
