By definition, a sphere of influence is a territorial area over which political or economic influence is wielded by one nation. I think the sphere of influence concept also applies to our lives with a bit of a twist. Each one of us is our own nation, and our territorial area is our life and those in it. As for the types of influence we have, both political and economic influence are in play along with emotional, spiritual, and mental influence. Each time someone asks for your opinion, you are presenting an amount of influence. Other areas of influence are: responding to surveys, buying habits at the store which impact inventory, and restaurant eating habits which influence the menus. To sum them up in one phrase, our life experiences influence others. At some point today, your sphere of influence will come into play. Influence wisely.
