One of the
constants in life is change, and I write about it often. In fact, there
is something is changing in our life every day. Changes typically fall in
one of these two categories: 1. Biological or 2. Transformational.
Biological changes just happen, and you have little to no input on them.
Those would be getting older, losing your hair, seasonal changes, etc. Transformational
changes are wholesale shifts. It is not a matter of doing the same thing
as before but a little better. Instead, it is upsetting the apple cart
all together and moving in a completely different direction. Change is our
reaction to the opportunity rather than the opportunity itself. Events in
life offer an opportunity for transformational change, but some have difficulty
seeing or grasping said opportunity. It’s that, what am I going to do
with this, thinking.
When you
experience one of those life dropped me on my head moments, think about what
you are going to do with the event. You CANNOT change that it
happened, but you CAN change how you react to it. Use the event to
make one of those transformational changes. Remember, when you change
your thinking, you can change your world.
