Since 2006, I have been writing about the power of words. One of my favorites at the top of the list is the word, Hi! The word hi engages people. Here is a quick example of the power of the word. There is a guy that comes to the local watering hole regularly. A few months back, Justin and I discussed how the guy appears to stay to himself, looks stressed at times, and even talks to himself. We decided to see how we could change that, and we did. We said “Hi” to him and saw his face light up. Since then, he is smiling when he comes in, stops by to say hi to us, interacts with more people, appears to be in a happier place, and it all started with Hi. Go out today, and drop that little word on a total stranger and make a difference in the world.
