A common question I get regarding writing is, “Where do you get the inspiration to write?” The answer is quite simple. I pay attention and expect some type of inspiration each day so I look, listen, and feel what is going on around me. Inspiration is always around us when we pay attention. When we dream, hear a song that triggers a thought, you see something while walking in the park, or when give someone a hug for no apparent reason, it’s there. So, put the silly cell phone down for a few minutes, and allow yourself to get inspired. When you look for it, there it is.
