Since triggering seems to be a thing these days, here is what triggers me, music. I especially get triggered by guitar riffs. Heck, some of them go back probably 40 years or so. AC/DC, Boston, Journey, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, and ZZ Top. Just writing the names triggers memories from seeing some of them in the Coliseum in Houston. One of the most famous riffs in history is Aerosmith’s lead in to Walk This Way. Many years ago, my niece said, “Uncle Rodney, have you heard that new song, Walk This Way, from Run DMC and some band called Aerosmith?” Yes, that one did trigger lots of laughter. The thing that amazes me the most is how music triggers your brain to do a recall that dang fast. I like my riffs and am so dang happy I can still remember them. What’s your favorite riff and associated memory?
