Thought of the Day 8/15/09

The Road Less Traveled

“Listening is an attitude of the heart, a genuine desire to be with another which both attracts and heals.” - J. Isham

Everyone has a path in life. There are bends, turns, elevation changes, and sometimes wrecks along the way, but it is still your unique path. Sometimes you have people/guides on the path with you and other times you just feel the need to go off on your own and figure it out. Sure, people and events have a direct impact on that path, but it is still yours.

There will be days when you are going down a nice road with the cruise control set just enjoying life. There will also be days where you hit a pothole and end up in a ditch with a blown tire. That too is just part of life. For those days, you just get out, change the tire, and get back on your path. Your path, how you choose to take it, and with whom is totally up to you.

Action Item – If you feel like you are on the 610 loop going in circles, take an exit and change your path.
