I read an article about two
men that pulled another man from being trapped on the tracks on the MARTA
system in Atlanta. A metro officer and a Good Samaritan pulled Kenneth Hunter
from the tracks. Yes, metro transit
workers around the country are trained to deal with these types of situations,
but it goes further than that. People
helped because it was the right thing to do.
They stepped up, went beyond worrying about liability, lawyers, and
other nonsense, and did the right thing. That’s how it is supposed to work my
friends. Sometimes, we just do things
because. If there are consequences,
which I doubt there will be, we still do the right thing because it is the
right thing to do. Skip worrying about
the fallout out and do what’s right in your heart. The rest will take care of itself, just
because.
