Change is one of the constants in life, and something is changing in our life every day. Most changes fall into two categories: Biological and Transformational. Biological changes happen, and you have little to no input on them. You know the ones: getting older, losing your hair, hip replacements, etc. Transformational changes are those where there are wholesale shifts in us. It is upsetting the apple cart all together and moving in a new direction. Change is our reaction to the opportunity rather than the opportunity itself. Events in life offer opportunity for transformational change, but some have difficulty grasping the opportunity. It’s that thinking of, “What am I going to do with this?”
When you experience one of those moments of life that just dropped me on my head, think about what you are going to do with the event. You cannot change what happened, but you can change how you react to it. Use the event to make one of those transformational changes. Remember, when you change your thinking, you can change your world.
