The actual definition of temporary is - existing, serving, or effective for a time only; not permanent. Have you ever thought of everything as being temporary? Buildings, vehicles, jobs, and people come and go. In the true definition of temporary, even life is temporary, and we are here for a finite amount of time. We do know the start date but do not know the duration or end date. When someone comes to visit, it is temporary so we tend to put more effort into enjoying every second. We go on an outing with friends and again, put more effort into enjoying the time knowing it is temporary. How do you think life would be different if people viewed it and approached it as the temporary event it is?
I believe we get hung up in the, I will see them later or do that later all along having no clue about when or if later will be there. I am not suggesting taking crazy chances and living on the edge all the time; however, I am suggesting seeing that life is indeed a temporary event and approach it as such. Cherish the ones in your life, laugh until you hurt, and hug people for no reason. Ensure your “people” know they matter and are important in your life. The past is done and you do not know the future, which leaves you with the present. This very moment you are living is all you really know. Live it well my friends.
