One definition of stagnant is - a lack of development, advancement, or progressive movement. Air, the economy, relationships, and water can stagnate. I know I have been stagnant in jobs, relationships, and sometimes life in general. I was stuck and going nowhere or so, I felt at the time. The thing I learned about being stagnant is you can and will be stagnant if you allow it to happen. We are not tethered to a desk, relationship, or situation. We get comfortable, complacent, and downright lazy. Getting into a situation where you dread going to work or going home to the husband/wife leads to misery for all. You can’t hide it, and eventually, stagnation will rear its ugly head if not dealt with in a timely manner. I’m not suggesting you bolt from a job or a relationship when you feel stagnation coming on; however, I am suggesting you pay attention and work it to when it appears rather than letting it fester and spread. Feeling stuck comes with the territory. Staying stagnant is a choice.
